  8. Reason for the tow request (brakes, no start, flat tire, etc)
  9. License Plate and/or VIN number (You don't have to have it, but it helps)
  10. Location of vehicle pick up
  11. Destination of vehicle delivery
  12. How you will be paying (Card/Cash ONLY! We do NOT accept personal check!)
  13. Location of the keys
  14. Any other additional information that you think we may find beneficial in the handling of your situation such as; will you be with the vehicle, or the number of passengers in the vehicle.

Impound – CR Towing & Recovery is one of the very few preferred towing services for the Joliet Police Department, Will County Sheriff’s Department, and the District 5 – Illinois State Police. We have been given the privilege to serve these fine law enforcement agencies based on our quick response time, and towing expertise. Listed below are a few items you may need in order to release your vehicle from our impound lot depending on which municipality dispatched the tow request. (Please note that these are standard municipality towing fees for light duty vehicles. Other charges such as winching, clean up, etc may apply)

Joliet Police Department

JPD

Joliet Police Department towing fees are as follows

  • $15/fuel                                            $15/fuel
  • $60/day/storage                          $60/day/storage

 

To obtain the release form for an impounded vehicle dispatched by the JPD you will need the following; (Only required if there was a citation issued at the scene)

  • Valid insurance card/paperwork
  • Proof of ownership (registration, title, bill of sale)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Payment of any fees from JPD

Once you’ve obtained the release form from the Joliet Police Department, or there is no release form needed, you will need to bring the following items to our location;

  • JPD release form
  • Photo ID
  • Proof of ownership (registration, title, bill of sale)
  • If you are not the registered owner, you will need a notary letter from the registered owner stating that you are allowed to pick up said vehicle.
  • Cash or credit/debit card (we do NOT accept personal check)
  • We will NOT accept a credit/debit card from anyone except the registered owner
  • There is a 4% transaction fee on all debit/credit cards

Will County Sheriff

Will County Sheriff towing fees are as follows;

  • $175/ tow
  • $15/fuel
  • $45/day storage/ first 5 days
  • $55/day/storage after 5 days

 

To obtain the release form for an impounded vehicle dispatched by the Will County Sheriff you will need the following; (Only required if the top of the police report says “Administration”)

  • Valid insurance card/paperwork
  • Proof of ownership (registration, title, bill of sale)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Payment of any fees from Sheriff’s Office

Once you’ve obtained the release form from the Sheriff’s Office, or there is no release form needed, you will need to bring the following items to our location;

  • Release form from the Sheriff’s Office (if applicable)
  • Photo ID
  • Proof of ownership (registration, title, bill of sale)
  • If you are not the registered owner, you will need a notary letter from the registered owner stating that you are allowed to pick up said vehicle
  • Cash or credit/debit card (we do NOT accept personal check)
  • We will NOT accept a credit/debit card from anyone except the registered owner
  • There is a 4% transaction fee on all debit/credit cards

Illinois State Police (District 5)

ALL (wreck or arrest) Illinois State Police towing fees are standard;

  • $200/tow
  • $25/Administrative
  • $55/day/storage

 

ISP does not require you to obtain a release form.

To obtain your vehicle from our possession you will need to bring the following items to our location;

  • Photo ID
  • Proof of ownership (registration, title, bill of sale)
  • If you are not the registered owner, you will need a notary letter from the registered owner stating that you are allowed to pick up said vehicle
  • Cash or credit/debit card (we do NOT accept personal check)
  • We will NOT accept a credit/debit card from anyone except the registered owner

ALL FEES STATED ABOVE ARE STANDARD FEES. THEY DO NOT INCLUDE EXTENDED SERVICE FEES. I.E. WINCHING, CLEAN UP, ETC.
